Singapore: Customers' Satisfaction Survey of Myanmar Restaurants

This time, I would like to run a survey among my friends who are living in Singapore and experienced with food stalls those selling Myanmar Foods especially in Peninsula Plaza. Normally, most of our Myanmar people used to go to Peninsula plaza for certain reasons, some people go there for transferring money to home, some people go there for having food of our own tastes.

Before two years in the past, there had not so many Myanmar food stalls in Peninsula plaza, we have a few of them, like Mya Nandar, Ye Yint, and etc., Now today we have a handful of food stalls opened since about one year ago and currently running their business and serving people.

Most of the time, we used to go to same food stalls which we think quite OK for us for some reasons. I found out that some of the food stalls are full with customers most of the time, and some don’t. Then, I got an idea of what our Myanmar people likes in their food stalls and what we don’t like. I would like to run a survey. I would like to run survey for two reasons.

One:
We can pick up one of the restaurants that meet much of our customers’ requirements.

Two:
In our culture, if we feel something bad, we felt that this is our individual problem and we do not have place to let the other people knows that we do not like this thing and that thing. Actually, if a stall have low level of customer satisfaction standard makes feel bad to other people too.

By doing this survey, the restaurant got the highest rank in survey will be ideal for the rest, and the rest who do not win the highest rank also will try to improve their service standards in future. You don’t need to enter any personal data on this survey and this survey is running anonymously.

I would like to run this survey quarterly for a year. I hope that visitors who visit Mgluaye’s pages will help and contribute with their opinion in this survey. It can help yourself and others by let food stalls knows that they are at the highest rank in customers’ satisfactions or they need to improve their service standards. Survey will be opened a week period of time for your opinions to fill in, and closed on 15th August 2010. Then the results will be announced on mgluaye's pages.

I would like to say Big “Thank you” in advance.

Update : Survey was ended on 15th August 2010. Thank you.

The Little Gold Book of YES! Attitude

While we were working in Singapore, most of us know that there is no extra time for us. Almost all day is busy with job related matters and leave small gaps of time for leisure only. So, every time we asked our friends whether they got time to read a book or something like that, most of our friends replied same answer: “where got such times to read?”

It is correct that most of us working in Singapore do not have enough spare time to read. But, I realized that without reading, our brain will go dumb day after day. So, I will need to find out alternate way to be able to read books while I was doing other things.

So that I searched audio books online and downloaded them and put them into my mp4 player. While I am on the way to my workplace in the morning and on the way back to my home at evening, I listen those audio books. This can help me in two ways. It can improve my English language proficiency and help me to be able to listen those books that I do not have enough spare time to read too.

Pile Design and Construction Practice

This book was uploaded as per request of one of my friends, Obama, (not the president of the United States, :) ) who is regular visitor to my blog. This book is written by Author Michael J. Tomlinson and John Woodward, this is fifth edition. I hope that it can help Obama.

Here is a description of the book:

Published in the Taylor and Francis
ISBN 0-203-96429-2 © 1977, 1987, 1994, 2008 Michael Tomlinson and John Woodward

The increased adoption of piling is not only due to the availability of more efficient mechanical equipment. Developments in analytical methods of calculating bearing capacity and dynamic methods for load and integrity testing have resulted in greater assurance of sound long-term performance. Further economies in foundation and superstructure design are now possible because of the increased ability to predict movements of piles under load, thus allowing engineers to adopt with confidence the concept of redistribution of load between piles with consequent savings in overall pile lengths and cross-sectional dimensions, as described in this new edition. Since the publication of the fourth edition of this book, Euro-code 7, Geo-technical Design, has been issued. As the name implies this code does not deal with all aspects of foundation design; there are extensive cross-references to other Euro-codes dealing with such matters as the general basis of design and the properties of constructional materials. The Code does not cover foundation design and particularly construction as comprehensively as the present British Standard 8004 Foundations, and the British National Annex to Euro-code 7 is yet to be published. The authors have endeavored to co-ordinate the principles of both codes in this new book.
